Donald Kingsnorth BA Vet M B MRCVS
Head of Practice
I arrived in Chobham in 1984 a week before bonfire night and was immediately put to work helping build the bonfire on Burrowhill! Previously I had worked for a year in Epping having graduated from Cambridge University. When I arrived the practice consisted of one centre 2 vets and a couple of nurses. Now we have 3 centres, 5 vets, and lots of nurses, receptionists and managers!
I’m often asked what part of the practice I enjoy the most, and the answer is all of it. We see and treat Dogs, cats, horses and all manner of small pets because that’s how we’ve moulded the practice over the last 20 years since I bought it and it makes for a good balance.
Outside the practice I enjoy sports but especially cricket and rugby, and when the chance presents itself most things in hills and mountains, skiing walking climbing. My young Labrador “Hero” particularly likes walking in the fells.
Helen Scott, BSc BVetMed, MRCVS
Clinical Director
I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 1999, and worked in a mixed practice in Cornwall for two years, doing as much horse work as I could get my hands on.
After going travelling for six months (including working as a locum in a small animal practice in Sydney, Australia for three months) I moved up to this area to be with my (now) husband. My main responsibilities are in the small animal side of the practice, and I spend most of my time operating.
I have recently started running acupuncture consultations for horses, dogs and cats- please contact me at the practice if this is something you would like more information on. Outside of work I enjoy walking my Springer Spaniel Daisy, horse riding and sailing.
Peter Underwood BVSc MRCVS
Assistant Veterinary Surgeon
Hi I'm Pete. I am one of the Assistant Veterinary Surgeons at the
Practice. I graduated from Bristol University in 2009 and began working at the
Practice soon after.
I really enjoy my work and can normally be found at either our Chobham or Chertsey branches except on Wednesday afternoons when I'm at our Lightwater Surgery. My veterinary interests include equine medicine and imaging but I am also equally interested in exotics.
When I'm not travelling round with my stephoscope I enjoy watching my local football team Farnborough FC, going to the theatre, watching films, going to concerts, cooking and having a quiet drink in the pub!
